Canadian Lightboards, built in Toronto.
We light up learning online. Lightboard Studio is a Toronto company helping teachers, businesses and presenters make compelling video in less time and at a lower cost, on illuminated glass boards we build ourselves.
Every educational video has one job.
Everyone has learned something from an online video. Yet we kept watching educators and presenters struggle to make one worth watching. Production was slow, expensive and awkward, and the presenter ended up either off camera or standing in front of their own material.
A Lightboard removes that compromise. You face the camera, your writing glows between you and your viewer, and the lesson lands the way it would in the room. We started Lightboard Studio so more people could teach this way.
A compromise every time
- The presenter is off camera or blocking the material
- Production is slow and expensive
- Recording feels awkward, and it shows
Teach face to face
- You face the camera the whole time
- Your writing glows between you and your viewer
- Less time and a lower cost to produce
Local materials. Local partners. Full control.
We build with locally sourced materials and Ontario manufacturing partners, then assemble every board by hand. It costs more than importing a container of acrylic, and it is why we can put a structural warranty on every product we ship. We are that confident.
- Locally sourced materials Chosen for quality and sourced close to home.
- Ontario manufacturing partners Built with partners right here in Ontario.
- Assembled by hand Every board is put together in our own workshop.
- Structural warranty Every product we ship is covered.
We're with you every step of the way.
Buying a Lightboard is the beginning, not the end. Each one includes free training with a dedicated consultant, so your team records with confidence from the very first day.
- Camera and lighting Placement and settings that make your writing glow on screen.
- Editing Flip, trim and polish your footage in software you already use.
- Presenting on the glass The techniques that keep an audience watching.
